Saudi government holds 11 princes and four ministers

The government of Saudi Arabia has arrested 11 princes, including billionaire Alwaleed bin Talal.

In addition, the Saudi government also detained four ministers and dozens of former ministers.

The news of the detention has been reported by Saudi Arabia's trusted broadcaster, Al Arabiya.

According to Al Arabiya sources, the arrest was made on the orders of an anti-corruption committee that is now headed by the Saudi royal crown prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday (4/11/2017).

The committee announced it had reopened the flood-related file in Jeddah in 2009 and investigated the MERS virus case.

The arrest of a number of princes and prominent Saudi government figures became the latest step in consolidating the power of the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also King Salman's chief advisor.

Believed, the arrest will have a major impact on the royal government as well as the world economy.

Hong Kong's name tops the 2017 Sustainable Cities Mobility Index, an annual list released by design group, technology engineering, and consultant, Arcadis.

To compile this list of experts assess all matters relating to public transportation systems in 100 different cities in the world.

Assessors use 23 indicators divided into three categories: community (security, access, maintenance, and number of passengers), planets (environmental records, congestion, delay, cyclists' infrastructure, air pollution), and profit (public finance, affordability, economic health ).

Hong Kong by expert judgment using these 23 indicators is considered to be the city with the best public transportation system in the world.

Hongkong International Airport (HKIA) is one of the best and busiest in the world with 70.5 million passengers by 2016.

HKIA now operates with 99 percent capacity, a third runway is under construction and will be operational by 2014.

This airport expansion shows Hong Kong's role as a mainland China hub with the world that is part of Beijing-initiated Belt and Road initiatives.

Late 2017, the bridge connecting Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macau was completed. Despite the controversy, the bridge was built to further integrate Hong Kong's economy and the Pearl River Delta region.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong's public transport in a day is used on average by 12.6 million people. In addition, the Mass Transit Railway system of the city is considered to be the most efficient in the world.

Afghanistan Announces Block WhatsApp and Telegram

The Afghan Telecommunications Ministry ordered blocking of two popular conversation apps, WhatsApp and Telegram Messenger.

Telecommunication ministry spokesman Najib Nangyalay said the blockade was only temporary.

The government, Nangyalay said, is trying out the latest communications technology.

Reported by the AFP news agency, internet service provider, Salaam Network, will block the two applications from November 1 to 20 November.

Telecoms Minister Shahzad Aryobee said the blocking was due to complaints about WhatsApp and Telegram services.

The policy was suddenly reap protests from Afghan citizens. They argue the government is limiting freedom of expression.

"The two most commonly used applications of this country are blocked - this government is very annoying," exploded a Facebook account named Abdulraouf Sharifi.

Nangyalay tried to dismiss the accusations. "You still have access to Facebook and Twitter, but the government still guarantees freedom of expression," he explained.

US Confirms Never Wants War on the Korean Peninsula

US Defense Secretary James Mattis re-affirmed to the world that the US does not want to start a war on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement was made by Mattis during a visit to the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas in Panmunjom village, South Korea, on Friday (27/10/2017).

Mattis, repeating Foreign Minister Rex Tillerson's remarks, said the United States wanted the loss of all nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula.

The US also hopes that Kim Jong Un's government can stop the provocative and threatening catastrophe around the world.

"As Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has pointed out, our goal is not war."

"But rather to complete the nuclear abolition forever from the Korean peninsula," said Mattis told The Telegraph.

Accompanied by South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo, Mattis saw how different North Korea and South Korea were from the border region.

According to Mattis, South Korea is more excited about its growing democracy and free society.

While North Korea is under pressure from the government that has curbed its inhabitants.

Meanwhile, Song Young-moo believes North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles are weapons that will never be used.

"If used, it must deal with a strong counterattack of combined South Korean and US forces," he said.

Song Young-moo added that South Korea wants to invite North Korea back to bilateral discussions in order to reduce the tension between the two.

The arrival of the US Defense Secretary to the demilitarized zone of Korea was also linked to the planned arrival of President Donald Trump scheduled for early next month.
